Today is the first day of my favorite season.\u00a0 Happy summer to all!\u00a0 With any new season I think it\u2019s important to write a list of things to accomplish, so without further ado here\u2019s my bucket list for the summer.<\/p>\n

    \n
  1. Bike through the Vineyards<\/strong>. There are so many places you can go on your bicycle!\u00a0 Hop on and ride from winery to winery and enjoy the beautiful views that Livermore Valley has to offer.\u00a0 For all of the local bike paths, click here<\/a>.<\/li>\n
  2. Taste Our Terroir<\/strong>. This is four days of wine and food from your favorite wineries and restaurants.\u00a0 The line up couldn\u2019t be better this year with a lobster feed, progressive dinner, brunch in the vineyards, wine seminars and so much more.\u00a0 Click here<\/a> for the full list of activities.\u00a0 Attend one event or multiple for a full weekend of delectable fun.<\/li>\n
  3. Picnic in the Vineyards<\/strong>. You don\u2019t have to get down in the dirt to enjoy a picnic.\u00a0 Many of the wineries have great spots to picnic.\u00a0 Find a full list here<\/a>.<\/li>\n
  4. Garden Trail. <\/strong>Did you know that there is a Drought Resistant Garden Trail throughout Livermore Valley?\u00a0 Check out this map<\/a> and view beautiful gardens.\u00a0 You can even stop in at some of the wineries and sip while you commune with nature.<\/li>\n
  5. Harvest Wine Celebration. <\/strong>Sadly, the end of summer, but celebrate the change in seasons and the newest harvest of wine grapes.\u00a0 Over 25 wineries will be participating in this two-day event.\u00a0 This is also the 35th<\/sup> Harvest Wine Celebration so expect the weekend to be better than ever.\u00a0 Click here<\/a> for tickets and details.<\/li>\n
  6. Try a new winery.<\/strong> We all have our favorites and it is so easy to just keep going back to them. This summer, branch out and try a new winery or two before heading to your old favorites.\u00a0 You may notice that your favorite winery list will get longer and longer.\u00a0 For a full list of wineries, click here<\/a>.<\/li>\n
  7. Movie Night in the Vineyards<\/strong>. More than one winery will be hosting movie nights throughout the summer as well as a multitude of other events.\u00a0 Enjoy the summer heat as the sun sets and watch one of your favorite movies.\u00a0 For a full list of winery activities, click here<\/a>.<\/li>\n
  8. Ride the Livermore Trolley.<\/strong> Have you heard that you can hop on and hop off<\/a> at certain Livermore Valley wineries this summer?\u00a0 This is a great way to get around without having to drive.\u00a0 Don\u2019t want to share your ride?\u00a0 Here\u2019s a full list<\/a> of our transportation partners.<\/li>\n
  9. Livermore Airport Open House<\/strong>. Technically, not in summer, but who doesn\u2019t love to make plans ahead of time. Check out the newest hangar at the airport, peruse airplanes, all while sampling some of Livermore Valley\u2019s finest wines.\u00a0 Check back here for more details<\/a> as the event gets closer, but for now, mark your calendar for October 1st<\/sup>.<\/li>\n
  10. Try a new restaurant. <\/strong>Oh how I wish we could simply drink wine all day.\u00a0 Unfortunately, we must eat food as well.\u00a0 Try one of these restaurants<\/a> for some delicious bites before, during or after your wine tastings.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    As I mentioned before, this is my favorite season.\u00a0 It\u2019s so nice to be outside enjoying the warm weather. \u00a0Don\u2019t forget to check out the itinerary planner<\/a> to make your trip as seamless as possible.\u00a0 I look forward to seeing you in wine country this season.<\/p>\n
