In honor of California Wine Month, we\u2019re sitting down with different winemakers throughout Livermore Valley and asking them to tell us about themselves, the harvest and of course, their favorite wines!\u00a0 Today we\u2019re sitting down with the winemaker from Murrieta\u2019s Well<\/a>.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Firstly, tell us a little about yourself\u2026<\/p>\n

If you weren\u2019t a winemaker, what would you be?<\/strong><\/p>\n

An anthropologist. Before going to UC Davis I entertained the idea of pursuing studies in Anthropology. I suppose humans are the one thing that is more diverse and unpredictable than wine.<\/p>\n

Are you a California Native?\u00a0 Where did you grow up?<\/strong><\/p>\n

No, I grew up just outside of Atlanta in Marrieta, Georgia.<\/p>\n

Where is your favorite place to be in California?<\/strong><\/p>\n

With my family.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

And now on to harvest\u2026<\/p>\n

Favorite thing about the grape harvest?<\/strong><\/p>\n

IT\u2019s the most exciting time of the year. Our whole team is working together. It\u2019s the culmination of everything we worked for over the course of the year. It\u2019s the end of the growing season and the beginning of the winemaking process.<\/p>\n

Least favorite thing about the grape harvest?<\/strong><\/p>\n

If I had a least favorite thing, I shouldn\u2019t be a winemaker.<\/p>\n

Any predictions for this year?<\/strong><\/p>\n

Good quantity, great quality.<\/p>\n
