A total of 15 Livermore Valley wineries partnered with local artists to design one of a kind, hand painted wine barrels to create the first ever <u>Painted Barrel Trail<\/u>. \u00a0We are so thankful to all of the incredible artists that helped bring this program to life, so we thought we would introduce you to a few of them! You can view the full list of artist and winery partners by downloading the Painted Barrel Trail map <a href=\"https:\/\/mailchi.mp\/7e5f707dfe35\/lv-painted-barrel-trail\">here<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><strong><u>Anne Giancoloa with Concannon Vineyard<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Anne has been a decorative artist since 1994. She does decorative painting, faux finishing (including marble, wood graining and wall glazing), murals and painted furniture. Anne leads her clients through a creative process that produces an articulate vision, the seed of her successful rooms. A graduate of the University of California, Santa Barbara, Anne has a strong art background that lends depth and realism to her work. Contact Anne to discuss ways to create surroundings you love! He is an East Bay Area native, born in Antioch, raised in Oakley, now living and working in Livermore. When he isn\u2019t pouring in the tasting room or assisting in the winemaking process, Ben is developing his art. Landscapes have been his focus in recent years, inspired both by travel and the landscape of his home region. Ben\u2019s work has appeared in SFSU\u2019s Transfer Magazine, and SJSU\u2019s Reed Magazine. She has taught to people of all ages, from kindergarteners to senior adults. Claire has been able to use her creative talents in many facets of the community from murals, to senior classes, to helping at the elementary school.\u00a0 \u201cIt is always a joy to capture the beauty of God\u2019s creation.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Melinda Salerno studied Graphic Art and Design. She has been leading the art program for the Livermore homeschooling community for the past 4 years, and you can also find her\u00a0teaching classes at Pinot&#8217;s Palette art studio\u00a0in Livermore. In high school, she discovered her passion for painting on non-traditional shapes and surfaces, painting everything she could get her hands on from canvas shoes to grandfather clocks. Two of the students who designed this barrel are Amber Fornoles and Lauren Bach.<\/p>\n<p>Amber is a Senior at Village high school. In her spare time, she competitively swims, listens to music, and makes ceramics. Lauren, 16, is a junior at Village High School. She spends most of her time drawing on her computer and sketching at school<\/p>\n<figure><a href=\"https:\/\/www.lvwine.org\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/02\/mk31.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/www.lvwine.org\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/02\/mk31.jpg\" width=\"279\" height=\"456\" title=\"\" alt=\"\" \/><\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.lvwine.org\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/02\/MK11.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/www.lvwine.org\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/02\/MK11.jpg\" width=\"277\" height=\"424\" title=\"\" alt=\"\" \/><\/a><\/figure>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Laina Carter with McGrail Vineyards and Winery<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>You can normally find Laina working at McGrail Vineyards, but in her free time she likes explore her artistic side.\u00a0Laina designed this barrel to be a rough map of Livermore that highlights the most iconic and historical spots in the city. So, grab some friends and explore the trail this weekend!\u00a0 Visitors will also have the opportunity to take home their favorite painted barrel by participating in the Painted Barrel Trail Raffle. Raffle tickets can be purchased for $20 a piece or 6 for $100, and you can find them inside the participating wineries\u2019 tasting rooms, and at the Livermore Valley Winegrower&#8217;s Association office.
