Learn:

Sauvignon Blanc is characterized by its green skin and production of a refreshing, crisp, dry white wine. This grape originated in the Bordeaux region of France. The wines are popular in California, where they are also labeled "Fume Blanc."

Taste:

Livermore Valley vintners like to put their own spin on this classic varietal, with crisp, refreshing flavors that range from vibrant lemongrass and herb to tart green apple, round melon and fig.

Pair:

Try Sauvignon Blanc with wild mushroom soups, grilled red snapper or asparagus - especially sautéed in garlic.
