There’s no better time to experience one of California’s oldest and most historic wine regions than during Livermore Valley Wine Month. Throughout the entire month of May, the valley comes alive with special tastings, winemaker experiences, seasonal celebrations, and unforgettable events highlighting the wines and the passionate community behind them.
With 31 days dedicated to the wines, wineries, and vibrant culture of Livermore Valley, visitors and locals alike are invited to raise a glass and explore everything this exceptional region has to offer. From intimate tasting room experiences to lively signature events, there’s something for every wine lover.

Signature Celebrations During Wine Month
International Sauvignon Blanc Day — May 1
Kick off Livermore Valley Wine Month by celebrating one of the region’s standout white varietals: Sauvignon Blanc. Known for its vibrant aromatics, refreshing acidity, and distinctive character, Livermore Valley’s expression of this beloved grape has become a regional favorite.
More than a dozen wineries will participate in this special celebration, offering tastings, themed flights, and unique experiences that showcase why Livermore Valley Sauvignon Blanc continues to shine on the California wine scene.

Mother’s Day Weekend — May 8–10
Celebrate the mothers in your life with a weekend among the vines. Participating wineries throughout the valley will be offering special tastings, brunch experiences, live music, and unique winery events designed to make Mother’s Day weekend truly memorable.
Whether it’s a relaxing afternoon tasting on a sunny patio or a festive gathering with friends and family, Livermore Valley provides the perfect setting to celebrate mom in style.
Uncorked! — May 15
Wine lovers won’t want to miss Uncorked!, an exclusive evening dedicated to celebrating the gold medal winners of the California Signature Wine Awards.
The evening begins with an engaging seminar from 6–7 PM, where guests can hear directly from the winemakers themselves and gain insight into the craft behind their award-winning wines. From 7–9 PM, guests will have the opportunity to taste an impressive lineup of medal-winning wines as Livermore Valley’s top winemakers pour their finest selections.
After all, only the best wines earn a place at this highly anticipated event.
International Chardonnay Day — May 21
As one of Livermore Valley’s heritage varietals, Chardonnay holds a special place in the valley’s winemaking legacy. Chardonnay Day is the perfect opportunity to explore the incredible range this versatile grape offers.
From rich and buttery styles to bright, crisp expressions fermented in stainless steel, Chardonnay lovers will discover a spectrum of flavors that highlight the diversity of Livermore Valley terroir. Cab Franc-A-Palooza — May 31
Close out Livermore Valley Wine Month with one of the valley’s most beloved celebrations: Cab Franc-A-Palooza.
Cabernet Franc has long been a signature varietal in Livermore Valley, thriving in the region’s unique climate and soils. This exciting event invites guests to explore Cabernet Franc from around the world, including the valley’s own distinctive interpretations of the grape.

Partner Events!
Livermore Valley Wine Month also brings a lineup of exciting partner events that showcase the region’s vibrant wine and community culture. Savor the perfect pairing with Cork & Fork! Cork & Fork is a partnership between The Livermore Valley Winegrowers Association and downtown Livermore restaurants and wine bars. Participating locations will offer guests $15 off of bottles of Livermore wines purchased during the month of May. It’s a community-wide invitation to discover — or rediscover — the incredible wines grown right in our backyard, all while supporting local dining. Funded through the generous support of Alameda County Supervisor David Haubert, this program makes it easier than ever to raise a glass to our region. With outdoor dining open for the season, the Thursday Night Farmer’s market running, and warmer temperatures ahead, there is no better way to spend time outdoors than dining at one of downtown Livermore’s restaurants and drinking a glass of Livermore Valley Wine.
Celebrate new releases with the Livermore Valley Vintners Collective (LVVC) Release Party, featuring a curated selection from some of the valley’s most passionate producers. Beyond the wineries, the energy continues at the Downtown Livermore Street Fest, a beloved tradition filled with live music, local vendors, and festive fun. And for those looking to discover something new, Boutique Barrels of Livermore offers a unique opportunity to explore limited-production wines from small, family-owned wineries. Together, these events capture the spirit of Livermore Valley, welcoming, dynamic, and always worth a visit.
