Sauv Blanc Summer Continues: Six More Livermore Valley Wines to Discover

If you joined us for the first chapter of our Sauv Blanc Summer, welcome back. We hope you’ve already packed a bottle (or two) into your beach cooler, discovered a new favorite winery, and found yourself reaching for Sauvignon Blanc a little more often this season.

The beauty of Livermore Valley’s Signature Varietal is that there’s always something new to discover. No two wineries interpret Sauvignon Blanc quite the same way, and that’s what makes exploring them so much fun. From crisp, stainless steel classics to expressive, award-winning bottlings, these six wines prove once again why Livermore Valley has become one of California’s most exciting destinations for Sauvignon Blanc.

Whether you’re heading for the coast, spending the weekend at a beach house, gathering friends for sunset appetizers, or simply looking for the perfect bottle to open on the patio after work, these wines were made for summer memories.

Rosa Fierro Cellars

SAVVY Sauvignon Blanc 2023

Some wines have a great story before you even pull the cork.

Rosa Fierro named her Sauvignon Blanc SAVVY after an unforgettable harvest that required quick thinking, borrowed trucks, an overnight stay in the vineyard, and hand-bucketing every grape into the press. It was a reminder that making great wine sometimes takes equal parts skill, determination, and a little creativity. “Savvy” couldn’t have been a more fitting name.

The result is a beautifully expressive Sauvignon Blanc that has already earned 91 Points and Hidden Gem from Wine Enthusiast, along with Gold Medal honors from both the International Women’s Wine Competition and the San Francisco Chronicle Wine Competition. Bright, energetic, and full of character, it’s a wine that tells its story in every sip.

Perfect Pairing: Dungeness crab rolls with lemon aioli, kettle chips, and a crisp cucumber salad enjoyed on the deck as the sun begins to set.

Fenestra Winery

2024 Sauvignon Blanc

Fenestra’s 2024 Sauvignon Blanc captures everything we love about summer in a single glass. Aromas of kiwi, lime, and orange blossom lead into luscious flavors of mango, citrus, and peach before finishing crisp, refreshing, and wonderfully balanced.

Sourced from Ridout Vineyards at Kalthoff Commons in Livermore Valley, this award-winning Sauvignon Blanc has already earned Silver Medals from the San Francisco Chronicle Wine Competition, Alameda County Wine Competition, and Orange County Fair.

Perfect Pairing: Fresh shrimp ceviche with avocado, citrus, and tortilla chips. The wine’s tropical fruit and lively acidity make every bite even brighter.

Arroyo Cellars

2025 Sauvignon Blanc

Arroyo Cellars continues its tradition of crafting vibrant, expressive Sauvignon Blanc that showcases everything this varietal can achieve in Livermore Valley. Bright citrus and tropical fruit mingle with fresh herbs, creating a wine that’s refreshing from the first sip through the lingering finish.

Whether you’re packing a cooler for a beach day or setting the table for an easy summer dinner, this is one of those bottles that disappears faster than you expect.

Perfect Pairing: Grilled fish tacos topped with mango salsa, avocado, and a squeeze of fresh lime.

Page Mill Winery

2025 Sauvignon Blanc

For more than four decades, Page Mill Winery has made Sauvignon Blanc part of its story, and the 43rd vintage continues that tradition beautifully.

Crafted entirely in stainless steel from the acclaimed Songbird Vineyard, this Sauvignon Blanc emphasizes freshness, purity, and balance. Lemon, fresh herbs, and delicate citrus lead the way with bright acidity and a clean finish that recalls the elegant white wines of Bordeaux while remaining unmistakably Livermore Valley.

Winemaker Dane Stark has long pursued Sauvignon Blanc that highlights vibrant fruit over pronounced grassy notes, and this vintage delivers exactly that.

Perfect Pairing: Classic Spanish seafood paella shared around a long table with friends as the evening breeze rolls in from the coast.

JMC Cellars

Reserve Sauvignon Blanc • Nella Terra Vineyards • 2025

Produced in an extremely limited release of just 66 cases, JMC’s Reserve Sauvignon Blanc rewards those lucky enough to find a bottle.

Harvested from Nella Terra Vineyards and fermented entirely in stainless steel, the wine opens with aromas of lemongrass, pomelo, and passionfruit layered over delicate flinty minerality and subtle herbal notes. It’s vibrant, elegant, and remarkably food-friendly.

Perfect Pairing: Grilled prawns finished with mint pesto, accompanied by an arugula, goat cheese, and fresh mango salad.

Cellar 13 Winery

2023 Sauvignon Blanc

First vintages don’t usually collect Double Gold medals, but Cellar 13’s certainly did.

Their inaugural Sauvignon Blanc took home Double Gold at the 2025 San Francisco Chronicle Wine Competition, immediately announcing itself as one of Livermore Valley’s standout new releases.

Sourced from the cooler Sunol Highlands portion of the Livermore Valley AVA and fermented entirely in stainless steel using two yeast strains, this fruit-forward Sauvignon Blanc showcases bright freshness, expressive aromatics, and remarkable balance.

It’s an exciting debut from a winery that clearly knows how to make a memorable first impression.

Perfect Pairing: Fresh oysters, grilled sourdough, and a simple herb butter while watching the waves roll in.

Keep Your Sauv Blanc Summer Going Strong

If there’s one thing we’ve learned over the course of our Sauv Blanc Summer, it’s that there’s no single expression of Livermore Valley Sauvignon Blanc. Every winery brings its own style, every vineyard tells a different story, and every bottle offers another reason to come back and explore.

So whether you’re spending the afternoon at the beach, escaping to a favorite beach house, planning a backyard dinner with friends, or making your way from tasting room to tasting room right here in Livermore Valley, don’t stop at just one bottle.

There’s still plenty of summer left, and plenty more Sauvignon Blanc waiting to be discovered.

Cheers to Part Two of your Sauv Blanc Summer. 🍷☀️
