Learn:

Petit Verdot is a red grape that is the least known and least grown of the Bordeaux red grape varietals, but is very well known as a blending grape.

Taste:

This varietal is incredibly generous with floral fragrant aromas early on that carry on into its middle life with lavender, rosewater, violet, anise and white blossom notes.

Pair:

Petite Verdot demands hearty meat dishes and aged cheeses.  Roasted duck, barbecued lamb chops or pork spare ribs will all pair well.
