Learn:
A black grape variety that is widely grown to create full-bodied red wines.  A native to Spain, toward the end of the twentieth century, Tempranillo enjoyed a renaissance throughout the entire world as a fine wine.

Taste:
Livermore Valley vintners craft Tempranillo into wines with delightful layers of flavor.  Bright cherries, raspberry and strawberry are complemented by earthy, leathery notes.

Pair:
Try Tempranillo with dill-poached salmon, pork tenderloin with cilantro pesto or steamed mussels.
