Potential buyers check-in with LVWA staff and are assigned a group number for the grape “speed dating” portion of the evening (see below) and given a program. Attendees are seated for a short presentation.
5:45 pm State of the Industry Address
State of the Industry Address - Jeff Bitter, Vice President of Allied Grape Growers
6:30 – 7:00 pm Grape “Speed Dating” begins
Attendees spend 2-3 minutes at each grower’s table while the grower provides wine samples, brief overview of farming practices, varietals for sale, ask questions etc. After a few minutes, the attendee moves to the next grower’s table. This format is an excellent way for each attendee to have face time with every grower.
7:00 – 7:30 pm Conversation & Negotiation
Attendees are encouraged to revisit the growers they were interested in to discuss further business and negotiations.
