It provides complimentary tastings for you and one guest at participating wineries throughout the year, plus a 10% discount on bottle purchases (3+ bottles). It's the perfect way to discover new favorite wineries and experience some of the best of Livermore Valley wine country.
How long is my passport valid? Your 2026 passport is valid from January 1, 2026 through December 31, 2026.

How many times can I visit each winery? You are only allowed to visit each participating winery only once.
When is my passport NOT valid? Passports are not valid during special winery events or LVWA special event weekends. Please check with individual wineries or our website for specific event dates.
Why did you switch to a digital passport? Our new digital format means no more lost or forgotten passports! You'll always have it with you on your phone, and we can provide you with real-time updates about participating wineries and special events.
When will the digital passport be available? Digital passports will be available to download and activate starting January 1, 2026. You can purchase now, but activation won't be possible until January 1st.
How do I access my digital passport?
What if I get a new phone during the year? Simply download the app on your new device and use the same purchase code to reactivate your passport.
Can I share my digital passport with friends/family? No, each passport is for individual use only and is tied to your account. Each person needs their own passport.
Do I need to make reservations? If your party is larger than 6, it's recommended to make a reservation. Since COVID, some wineries operate by reservation-only, so please check LVwine.org or contact the winery directly before visiting.
If I have a large group, do they all get free tastings? Your passport entitles you and one guest to complimentary tastings. All others in your party will be expected to pay the regular tasting fee. If your entire party consists of passport holders, please let the winery know when making your reservation so they can prepare accordingly.
What if I want to try reserve wines? Many wineries offer reserve tastings featuring higher-end or limited production wines for an additional fee. This is a great way to explore a winery's more rare and exclusive offerings!
Can I bring my own food? You're welcome to pack a wine country lunch to enjoy at several wineries, but please check with each winery before you arrive to confirm they allow outside food. We encourage you to purchase a bottle of wine to enjoy with your lunch!
Do wineries sell food? Many wineries offer food for purchase. We encourage you to support them by buying food on-site when available.
Should I have a designated driver? Absolutely! Always have a designated driver or use a transportation service. Visit LVwine.org for a list of transportation partners.
Where can I find transportation options? Check our website at LVwine.org for recommended transportation partners to make your wine country experience safe and enjoyable.
How does the bottle discount work? Passport holders receive 10% off when purchasing 3 or more bottles at participating wineries throughout the year.
Am I required to purchase wine? While not required, purchasing wine is a wonderful way to support the wineries that have waived tasting fees for passport holders and to keep the memories alive at home!
What are wine clubs? Most participating wineries offer wine club memberships with periodic wine shipments and exclusive benefits and perks. Don't hesitate to ask about becoming a wine club member during your visit!
I purchased this as a gift. What do I do? Forward the email with your order number and activation instructions to the gift recipient. They should download the app and register the passport in their own name using your purchase code.
Can I transfer my passport to someone else after I've activated it? No, once a passport is activated and registered to your name, it cannot be transferred.
Can I get a refund after purchasing? No, all passport purchases are final with no refunds.
What if I can't use my passport for some reason? While we cannot offer refunds, the digital format means you can access it anytime throughout the year. We encourage you to plan visits when convenient for you.
