Join us for the decades-long tradition of the annual Livermore Valley food and wine competition, where teams compete for the perfect bite. At a new location this year, Terrace Lawn at Wente Family Vineyards, this exclusive event brings together twenty talented teams—a Livermore Valley winery paired with a local restaurant—competing to create the perfect curated bite.
Three esteemed judges conduct blind tastings to determine the ultimate food and wine pairings. Our distinguished panel includes Keith Beavers, Tastings Director of VinePair and Host of VinePair's Wine 101 podcast; Chef Emily Lim, founder of Dabao Singapore in San Francisco and James Beard Award nominee for Emerging Chef; and Clive Pursehouse, Decanter Magazine's US Editor. They will select winners in three prestigious categories: Best Classic Pairing, Most Innovative Pairing, and Judge's Best Pairing.

The night opens with a spellbinding live performance by the Livermore High School Orchestra, setting the tone for an enchanting celebration. As the stars rise above the vineyards, the energy builds with DJ Michael Ramponi keeping the dance floor alive on the patio.

Set in the beautiful hills of Livermore Valley, this six-course farm-to-table dinner from On the Vine Catering will be paired with the 2022 vintage wines from the Livermore Valley Vintners Collective (LVVC). This group of winemakers created guidelines for a red blend to showcase the Livermore Valley growing region with their own individual flair all while highlighting our region's cooperative wine community. Livermore Valley Vintners Collective is a group of highly motivated and creative winemakers who decided to begin a winemaking project and agreed to create a blend from 100% Livermore Valley fruit, leaning on the exceptional quality found within our appellation. The 2022 vintage of LVVC is based on 30-40% Cabernet Sauvignon and the rest is up to each individual winemaker! Come taste the experience!

Julie is also a passionate mycologist who organizes international mushroom forays through her company Mycoventures.
