Livermore Valley’s annual quest for food and wine pairing excellence features winemakers partnered with Bay Area chefs to compete for honors. Meet winemakers and chefs while sampling creations highlighting the valley’s terroir. Wine and food judges participate in a blind tasting and present awards to the winning teams. Be sure to cast your vote for the People’s Choice White and Red pairing awards! A limited number of VIP tickets grant you access to the event an hour early. Secrets of a Sommelier: The Art of Blind Tasting

Saturday, July 27th | 1:30-3:30 at McGrail Vineyards

If you've always been a little mystified by how professionals describe and compare wines, you are not alone. Join Sommelier, Jeremy Troupe from Range Life Livermore, in this interactive introduction to bling tasting. You will take a step-by-step sensory journey through six world class grape varietals. Discover the clues that each wine holds to its true identity. By the end of the seminar, you will have the confidence and the opportunity to compete in a blind tasting competition. You'll participate in blind tasting from four different Livermore Valley wineries. [$65]

Pallea Dinner at Darcie Kent Vineyards

Enjoy an authentic family style Paella dinner at Darcie Kent Vineyards. The night will begin with wine tasting from several Livermore Valley wineres. and the seated dinner will begin around 6:30, after you select the bottle of wine you would like to enjoy with your dinner. [$75]

Have you ever wondered how Port is made? Well, winemaker Dan Baldwin is here to answer that question. Sit in on his educational seminar of the History of Port, and how it is made. Once you've become a Port master your next step is to sample Ports out of the barrel, and pair them with several delectable cheeses and chocolates. [$35]
