The Gold Standard is a collaborative food and wine experience bringing together 14 medal-winning wines—Best of Class, Double Gold, and Gold—from our friends at Darcie Kent Estate Winery and Almost Famous Wine Company, alongside our own estate selections.
Recently recognized at the 2026 San Francisco Chronicle Wine Competition and paired with a thoughtfully curated small-bite menu from Zephyr Grill, this evening celebrates the community and great wine that define Livermore Valley.

How the Evening Comes Together
Doors Open | 5:30 PM
Begin the evening with a welcoming pour of 2023 Almost Famous Wine Company Sparkling Grüner Veltliner, setting the tone for a night of celebration.
Guided Food & Wine Pairings | 6-7 PM
Enjoy an intimate, seated pairing experience featuring four top-winning wines, each thoughtfully paired with gourmet small bites by Zephyr Grill. Along the way, hear directly from the Brett, Concannon winemaker, the Kent family, and Chef Jesus as they share the stories, inspiration, and intention behind each wine and pairing.
The Grand Tasting | 7-8 PM
The evening continues with a relaxed, walk-around grand tasting of nine exceptional Double Gold and Gold medal–winning wines, poured by the winemakers and the Kent family. This final hour invites conversation and discovery, and the opportunity to revisit your favorites.
Guided by the People Behind These Wines
The guided food and wine pairing experience will be led by the Kent family alongside our winemaker Brett Fikse. Together, they’ll share the stories behind each pairing—offering insight into the vineyards, the winemaking decisions, and the collaborative spirit that brings these Best of Class, Double Gold and Gold medal–winning wines to the table. It’s a rare opportunity to experience these wines through the voices of the people who craft them.
