We are so thrilled to finally share with you that the Livermore Valley Winegrowers Association has gone through a major update in our name and brand.
The Association is dedicated to advance, protect and promote the region’s quality wines, vineyards and experiences. Our collective decision for a new name and look was made to better reflect the community of growers and vintners in Livermore Valley and their dedication to being a destination that intersects incredible wines with family-style hospitality.

Actually, the word “terroir” means “soil” in French and when you’re talking about a wine-growing region, otherwise known as a “Viticultural Area,” the soil is of utmost importance. The French use the phrase “gout de terroir” when speaking of certain wines. It translates to “taste of the soil” and no, it doesn’t mean that the wine taste like dirt, it refers to that rich, earthy flavor that some wines carry.

Thanksgiving is quickly approaching and it’s time to plan our menus and of course, our wine list for the holiday.
Finding a particular wine from our local Livermore Valley wineries can be a breeze with our easy search option. Go to the wineries tab at the top of the page. Once you’re there, scroll down and you’ll find a drop-down menu called “varietal.” Click which wine you’re interested in and hit search. The page will load with all the local wineries that carry that selection.
